Margo Byrd
Hello! I'm Mrs. Byrd and I teach English I, 7th Grade ELA, and ASB. I have a passion for learning, loving my students, teaching character building, and teaching life skills to my students through reading, writing, and communication. Originally from South Carolina, I graduated from Winthrop University with my degree in Middle Level Education. Hired directly after my internship I worked as a Social Studies teacher in Lancaster, SC. However, my husband's Naval Career quickly took us to California where we have now lived for almost 8 years. After working for the Boys and Girls Clubs of San Diegutio for almost 6 years as a Camps Assistant Director and Branch Manager, we moved to Helendale, CA with our 2 small kids.
Teaching in Helendale has been one of the most amazing experiences in education. Working with today's youth isn't easy, but I value the opportunity to give my students a safe haven during the school year to focus on their academics and their well-being. I hope to continue to inspire the youth of today to continue to make positive choices in their lives.
